Simple Design QA Privacy Policy
Simple Design QA stores QA log data locally in the user’s browser (chrome.storage.local). Data may include page URL, page title, timestamp, severity, feedback type, feedback text, optional reference link, optional container name, and optional screenshots captured by the user.
How data is used:
- To let users create, review, filter, and delete QA logs.
- To let users export logs to a local ZIP file (CSV, HTML, screenshots).
Data sharing:
- We do not transmit extension data to our servers.
- We do not sell or share user data with third parties for advertising or analytics.
Storage and retention:
- Data remains on the user’s device/profile until deleted by the user, extension removal, or browser data clearing.
- Exported files are created only when the user explicitly triggers export.
Permissions:
- storage: save logs locally.
- activeTab and tabs: read active page context for logging.
- scripting: user-triggered page area selection and screenshot flow.
- downloads: export ZIP file to local device.
